Reward Challenge: The Comma Challenge
Topic: Each tribe member in every tribe will receive this comma quiz. They will have 40 minutes to answer all the questions. Each correct answer will count as 1 point. You get an extra 5 points for a perfect quiz that was turned in before the end of the time limit. There is no talking. Talking will result in a 0. Then the total points per tribe will be averaged out for the final score.

Immunity Challenge: The Short Story Challenge
Topic: The tribes have only 60 minutes to write a short story about a citizen in a natural disaster or an important, impacting event (war, riots, depression, etc.) that has strike’s the tribes country, the beginning effects before it (lifestyles, way of life), and the after effects of how the disaster is resolved. All of the elements of literature MUST be included! After the short story is completed, each of the tribes will have to read the short story out loud to the class. The class will vote on the best short story and so will the teachers. You cannot vote for your own tribe. The winning tribe has good things happen to their country such as a boost in economy, abundance in element resources, and much more. The losing tribes have a natural disaster or important, impacting event strike the country. The winning tribe selects a number between 1-5 to determine the disaster or important, impacting event.
Below is the list of the disasters that nobody will know about:
1. A hurricane strikes and wipes out half of the country
2. Civil war breaks out
3. The people of the country are in riot over the government and are leaving the country
4. Earthquake destroys the capital of the country leaving many people injured or dead
5. An outbreak of tornadoes is started, destroying cities and factories
